Parks, Nature & Recreation

A Clermont County Parks Coalition was created to include representatives of local, county and state parks that will pursue common interests and objectives, and set goals and direction for the future. A survey was conducted of townships, villages and cities to assess the current status of parks and improvements needed throughout the entire county.

Clermont County, along with seven other counties, has been included in the Cardinal Land Conversancy to be housed at the Cincinnati Nature Center, where representatives from the county will sit on an area council. Simultaneously, the committee is focused on educating and informing stakeholders with interests in the preservation of land in Clermont County.

Recreational providers and available activities are being inventoried throughout the community and residents are being surveyed on their interests involving existing and future structures.

A summit is being planned to bring together recreational providers from across the county, including representatives from non-profits, for-profits, and municipalities. The purpose of the summit is to share results of the inventory and survey, and discuss ways to collaborate on enhancing recreational activities the county.
